Riding in the Turbulence

Have you ever been on an airplane ride and the pilot comes over the loudspeaker warning that you were about to hit some turbulence to please stay seated and fasten your seatbelts?

I know I have several times!

I remember these rides being fear inducing, uncomfortable, shaky, up and down, uncertain, and really loud.

One night, I was sitting with my Grandaddy at home. Somehow he always knows when and what to say. He had no idea how much I had been struggling for several weeks in December, as I fail to share most times.

But, just at the perfect time, he looked at me and said; "We can't live life in the turbulence. We have to choose to keep going up."

Friends, just like that airplane ride in the turbulence is fear inducing, uncomfortable, shaky, up and down, uncertain, and really loud...

Living life in the turbulence can become this way as well.

We fear the change of stepping into God's purposes.

We live uncomfortably from all the negative emotions we never seem to shake.

We feel like each day is a struggle.

We live in uncertainty because we don't believe there's more.

And, the negativity in our thoughts becomes so loud.

We have to make the choice to keep going up past the turbulence.

We have to get past just being content, and fully believe God's plan for our life.

I promise God created you for more than the struggles you are sitting in right now. He tells us so countless times in His word.

Keep reaching friends, don't settle.

Xoxo, Maggs
