It is not what we accomplished, but what God did.
He just let us participate.
Somedays I get overfilled with gratitude for where I am at in life. There have been countless times I have had to stop myself, and not allow myself to take all the credit for where I am.
Here’s the thing; I know I have climbed mountains, I know I have swam out of deep waters…I know I have lived my past several years way different than most my age. My experiences are far from average. The things I have gone through are far from easy.
And… I do not deserve the credit.
I did not pull myself out of the darkness.
I did not fight all the battles.
I did not choose life.
God brought the light.
God won the wars.
And, God chose me.
I am thankful I get to be a participant in the life God has planned for me.
I had to trade my life for something bigger than myself, and any of the disorders I battled.
And, that was for Jesus.
Nothing will ever fill a void like Jesus will.
My story of deliverance is a testament to clinging to hope in God.
It is entirely different to walk in the story of God’s saving grace, and just reading it. When you trade your life for God, you get to experience this. You truly get to participate in God’s story!
