Walking through life with your palms open and being willing to receive what your heart needs and willing to let go of what doesn’t grow your heart helps cultivate God’s plans in your life.
Connections ultimately build our life and build our trust in God’s purposes for our life.
‘From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its’ work.’ Ephesians 4:16.
God designed us for connection.
God designed us to join together and build eachother up.
God designed us to be willing to receive love, and release love.
Even though God designed us for connection, it does not mean it will be easy. Connections are hard, but being without connection is killing us.
Did you know loneliness increases risk of death by 26%, and is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day?
This is why God did not design us for loneliness.
Our fullness of life increases when we are connected.
‘The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’ Genesis 2:18.
God provides us with what we need to develop connections, we just have to be open and ready to receive it.
We are designed to know and be known.
The devil tries to convince us we are better in isolation. The enemy will fill our hearts with shame so that we will hide.
Hiding in: achievements, busyness, distance, addictions, humor…etc.
The only way to deep, meaningful connection is through vulnerability and the devil uses isolation to remove that vulnerability.
Connection happens in the courage of vulnerability.
Stop pretending you do not need connection, and believing the lie that you need to hide.
Lean into the messiness and the life giving opportunities of connection.
Be vulnerable.
Build connections.
Step out of hiding.
Know and be known.
Don’t just love, but become people of love.
WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER.
