If you know me, you know I really like a plan. I plan most days step by step. (it may be a tad extra!)
I know, or at least I like to think I do, when and what i'm doing everyday. Yes, i'm even talking about things as small as brushing my teeth.
This got tested big time last year!
Selah's treatment center is uniquely located in a large house on beautiful land. It was so nice to be healing in a home setting not a facility or hospital again.
Only; I shared a master bedroom, bathroom, and closet with 10 plus other women at a time. I'm not talking about a dorm community bedroom or bathroom. I'm talking about your parents' bedroom and bathroom on the first floor of the house.
One room, one closet, one shower, one toilet, and two sinks.
There goes my plan!
I had no idea each day when it would be my turn to shower, use the bathroom, brush my teeth, go in the closet, or turn my lights on and off.
I just had to be ready when it was my turn.
This sounds a lot like life!
We never know when something is going to come our way in life. We just have to be prepared and ready to take it head on. We can't just say no to everything in life because it's not when we want it to happen.
It would’ve been real gross for me to not brush my teeth because it wasn't at the perfect time everyday!
So, When that job opportunity comes a year earlier than you expected, you face your
fears, trust God, and go after it.
When that relationship you've been praying for comes years after you ever thought
it would, you trust God's timing.
We are not in control of this life. As much as we want to be, we just aren't. God has our whole life laid out for us. (Relief...We don't have to plan out our whole life step by step, that'd be HARD!)
All we have to do is trust His plans and His promises.
Are you making your own plan today, or are you trusting what God already has planned for your day?
Xoxo, Maggs
