A preacher once said, “unresolved conflict can turn the best thing into the most miserable thing.”
What even is conflict?
Drama? Fighting? Disagreements?
Conflict is: ‘a serious disagreement or argument; being incompatible or clashing.’
Not only does the world around us live in conflict, but we often live in conflict with ourselves.
Conflict truly exposes what is controlling our hearts. Being in a constant state of war with yourself and others, isn’t allowing God to carry you. When we let our conflict become bigger than God, we are insinuating that our will is greater than Gods. And we know God’s will isn’t for us to be always in disagreement. Our will is to be imitators of God and walk in love.
Before we can address any conflict around us, we must allow God to deal with our hearts first.
When we are able to recognize how big God is, and how small we are and our conflict is…it becomes easier to choose God over conflict.
We can’t allow conflict to turn the beautiful life God has created for us into misery.
Walking in God’s light will create peace, unity, and love…rather than conflict.
Very well written, well said and thoughtful Maggie. There's a lot of wisdom in your words. God bless you and your family.
